Green Beans

These are the typical green beans I've been serving lately. Step one is to start your water boiling. Add some salt, and throw in a bunch of tip and tailed green beans. In the meanwhile melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a fairly large frying pan. Once the butter is melted toss in a 1/2 cup of pecans (or hazlenuts are pretty good too). Remove the nuts once they are browned. You have already rinsed the cooked green beans by now - throw them in the pan with some oil ( try a mix of peanut and olive ). Toss them over medium-high heat for a couple of minutes. Get out your garlic press and add a clove to the mix. Add the nuts to the mix and drizzle in some sherry or red wine vinegar before plating.
