2 oz tequila (we're big fans of using a lightly aged reposado)
1.5 oz lime
.5 oz simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)
.25 oz Cointreau
pinch of sea salt
.5 oz mezcal to float
Shake the first five ingredients together in a cocktail shaker. Strain into an ice-filled glass, top with a splash of mezcal for a nice smoky aroma. We always skip the mezcal part.
